On June 14, 2019, Andrew and Michelle met for the first time at one of their favorite Italian restaurants in Ferndale, Michigan. It was a night of laughter, levity, and great food, which ended with a round of pinball at the local dive bar. They immediately knew they were on to something special.

One of Andrew and Michelle’s first trips together was a golf trip in Bay Harbor, Michigan. By good fortune, this trip would be the first of many, in Northern Michigan, and beyond.

In 2020, Andrew and Michelle made the most of quarantine by finding joy in cooking together, appreciating board game date nights and walks with Benelli, and hosting small gatherings with friends and family. 2020 taught them how to practice gratitude, together.

In 2021, Andrew and Michelle seized every opportunity to make memories in new cities. They enjoyed Valentine’s Day in Miami, Andrew’s birthday in Las Vegas, and a Memorial Day golf trip to Bay Harbor. But their most memorable trip yet was this past Fourth of July in Harbor Springs…
The Proposal
Celebrating the Fourth of July in Harbor Springs, Michigan is a truly special experience. Harbor Springs is a quaint town in Northern Michigan along Little Traverse Bay, which takes celebrating America’s revolutionary holidays (especially the Fourth of July) very seriously. Michelle’s family is blessed to have celebrated countless Fourth of Julys there, and by 2021, it was time for Andrew to experience one of the best days of the year in Harbor Springs.
On July 4, 2021, Andrew and Michelle spent their early morning hours setting up for the Champane’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration. Mid-Morning, they enjoyed a festive cocktail as they walked through town, to the art fair, and down the pier to admire the boats and Fourth of July decorations and festivities. They enjoyed lunch with family and friends as they watched the parade march down Main Street. They spent their afternoon exploring the coast of Harbor Springs by bike. Early-evening, they enjoyed cocktails and dinner at the marina with family and friends, waiting for dusk to settle and for the fireworks to begin.
Just before dusk, Andrew and Michelle ventured to Zoll Beach, where they set out a blanket and sat to watch the fireworks together. As the grand finale began, Andrew asked Michelle to be his forever, and of course, she said yes. They made their very own “forever memory” in Harbor Springs that Fourth of July, God willing, one of many to come!
We’ve made such cherished memories together in Northern Michigan.
We couldn’t imagine making the memory we will cherish most - our wedding celebration - anywhere else.
We are so exited to share this meaningful place with our family and closest friends.
